To the Editor:

What can be done to allow the handicapped, elderly, parents with children in strollers to have priority in using the elevators at the subway?

I have observed the young, and able-bodied pushing ahead of the above-mentioned to get on the elevators, while those who need it have to use the escalators, sometimes to discover that they are out of order.

Incidentally, I also observed you and a friend guilty of using the elevator.

To the Editor:

I've noticed that all of the flags on the poles on our Island are hung incorrectly - they are all backwards. When displaying the flag, its field of blue should always be hung upper left whether vertically or horizontally.

Please have them hung correctly. Thank you.
