RIRA Delegates for Octagon Apartments

At Wednesday night’s Common Council session, delegates passed a resolution aimed at changing the RIRA constitution to provide for representation of the Octagon Park Apartments. That change is expected to be approved in the next Council meeting on November 1. It will be preceded by a pro forma quorum call at a Town Meeting (scheduled for 7:30), required by the constitution. If a minimum quorum of 100 residents is not present, approval will fall to the Council in its 8:00 p.m. meeting that night.
