New delegates to the Roosevelt Island Residents Association (RIRA) Common Council met Monday night with some old hands in an orientation session led by RIRA Matthew Katz and others. RIRA Common Council meetings are open to the public, and include a public session in which residents are invited to bring matters to the Council’s attention. Meetings are held at Good Shepherd Community Center, in the lower level, at 8:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month.
