RIRA Resolution on Parking
At its September 9 meeting, the Common Council of the Roosevelt Island Residents Association (RIRA) adopted resolutions related to parking and Public Safety: (1) RIOC employees should park their personal vehicles in Motorgate rather than on Main Street, with unlimited free parking; (2) RIOC should not park its vehicles in the residential courtyards and sidewalks, such as the space next to M&D Deli; (3) Public Safety should not remove posters that are critical of Public Safety on parking enforcement.
The RIRA resolutions have no effect unless the Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation adopts the recommended policies.
